In 2002, Kim's dad, a wheelchair dependant stroke survivor, went in to end stage kidney failure. At the time, she was a single mom and general manager of a full service hotel. She knew she couldn't continue effectively parenting, running the hotel and carin for her dad. That forced her to evaluate how she was spending her energy and time. Circumstances dictated.

My post cancer experience forced me to evaluate my relationships to and beliefs about matters of:

• Spirit
• Physical
• Income
• Change
• Emotions
• Social

...what I have come to identify as the S.P.I.C.E.S. of life.
