Providers and Survivors – A Force to Be Reckoned With!

Yes! If you have been a healthcare provider long enough, you know a health crisis is your patient’s invitation to change. You also know that change for many is hard, sometimes seemingly impossible.

You’ve probably met people all over the spectrum. Some who are completely willing and able to do whatever it takes. Some willing but need a little help getting on to their next step. And some who really want to change and appear powerless to begin without help.

You offer everything you’ve got in the time you’re allowed. It’s just not enough. It isn’t quite what they need! It’s outside the scope of your training! At the end of the day you feel like the system, or even worse you, failed them.

In my personal recovery from stage 3C ovarian cancer, I stood at that cross-road with my providers. They tried, but . . . It was also my experience as a caregiver for my dad, an 11-year wheelchair dependent stroke survivor who spent more than 4 years on dialysis.

You folks saved our lives, thank you! And at the same time, what about life outside your office, the treatment room, the hospital. Sure, I survived. But ouch!! It was a lonely, painful and uphill struggle!

That’s why this conversation is so important! That’s why I became a coach! That’s why I designed Providers and Survivors – A Force to Be Reckoned With!

Your job? To find and fix what ails us, to the best of your ability.  My job? Helping you do your job by helping survivors identify and release what stands between them and doing what it takes to fully engage in their healing.

I created Providers and Survivors – A Force to Be Reckoned With!  To bridge the gap between what you as a healthcare provider can offer and what your patients need. I’m talking about what they need day-in and day-out – for all the hours spent facing life on life’s terms.

Surviving is not one-size fits all, and our solutions can’t be either. Because Providers and Survivors – A Force to Be Reckoned With! is a coaching series based on in the moment survivor needs, the curriculum is fluid and shifting as is the schedule.

The series consists of 8 sessions which can be held daily, weekly or monthly depending on the needs of your patients.

Throughout the 8 sessions, we cover:

  • Stress – Healthy verses unhealthy and how we navigate
  • Mindfulness – paying attention in our everyday life
  • Coming to terms with our current reality – Acceptance, Change, Letting Go or Suffering
  • Meditation and neuroplasticity – Developing a daily practice and its impact on healing
  • Behavior changes – And what gets in our way
  • Family issues – Support, setting boundaries and staying on our side of the street
  • Treatments over – what now?

Those who participate in our collaborative partnership are motivated, supported and successful. They step out of victimhood, invest in their own healing and become A Force to Be Reckoned With.

Where do we begin? It’s easy. Reach out and we’ll figure out how to make Providers and Survivors – A Force to Be Reckoned With! work in your practice.
